An exhibition space in constant transformation through anti-design as a strategy for interior adaptation. An open space for multiple exhibition formats in constant evolution. Art gallery located in Barcelona, Catalonia.
The question of the nature, history, and status of materials is directly related to evolution and survival. All contacts that occur in the world are a form of interaction between materials. In this sense, the aim of this project was to literally strip down the original gallery, removing all hidden architectural elements and exposing every trace of time that the walls covered.
It is each artist, through their intervention and interaction with the space, who dresses it anew.
Eternal materials are indigestible for the Earth. Perishable materials are co-creators of life. Here, four dematerialized and functional elements organize the space that the artist re-inhabits, occupies, and materializes with each of their interventions, dialoguing together with the architectural history of the space.
